Something I'd Love To Hear

I'm not sure there's really a market niche for such a cab at this time.

Mike mentioned that I use a 15" Faital woofer in one of my recent cabs, and I've been very happy with it. Not quite the air-moving ability of the 15" Kappalite variant I use, but still very capable.
Duke,
Judging the differences between a Euphonic Audio VL 108 and the Euphonic Audio VL 208, I'd say you are right on the mark. If you have to push the single 8" speaker in the VL 108, it just can't keep up. I'm sure that the Crazy 8's are much better at handling that, since they use the Faital. I think it would be very sweet to hear a two eight Faital cabinet combined with that exquisite crossover and horn the you use in the TC 112, but ultimately you're probably building a cabinet for a niche market, where others have already built a very fine product. There's also the weight differential between a single 8 and a pair of them, in the VL Cabinets it was one of the factors that bumped the weight of a VL 208 to 48 lbs., vs the weight of a VL 108, that was 27 lbs. In the end, the TC 112 is all I'll ever need. I used it last week in a club and the sonic results were stellar, all the other players loved it, and so did the audience.

Glad to see someone else using this amp for upright. I've experimented with it a little, and I've gotten a good sound out of it without too much of a fuss. I do get a low-mid "pop" I don't like too much, but only on the E string. I'll figure out how to EQ it out sooner or later.

As an aside, the BG250 is golden with my P-Bass.

I have a Crazy 8 by Mike Arnapol that is fantastic. I use it for big band, small group acoustic groups and a loud sextet. My bass is a Thompson RM200/Hybrid, the pickup is a Rev Solo II and the amp is a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0. I prefer to go directly into the amp and not use a pre. I have an Fdeck pre ver 2.0. The tone is richer going direct into the amp. My favorite application is small group acoustic gigs where I use just a touch of amp volume to fill out my sound, "my bass only louder". The cab is ridiculously light too.
