Hi, Steve - I was wondering how your gig went in Birmingham at Tom Martin's "Tower of Song" bar last night? It's a cute little venue. I hope you had a decent turnout.
I played there the night before with Tom's band (I've been his regular bassist for over 12 years now). He's a very cool customer. He started the venue up about six years ago when other venues we used to play in the city (Ronnie Scott's, the Fiddle and Bone) stopped having live music. Tom's place has something going on in that respect six nights a week.
I wanted to get over there last night but other commitments spoiled my plans. Sorry to have missed you. Be sure to let us know how the gig went...
