Dear Mr. Manring,
Who would you consider to be your primary influences when first playing bass? I am a beginner, so I am wondering who you personally would suggest. So far, I like Larry Graham, James Jamerson, John Entwistle, Jaco Pastorius, and much more. Also, who are your favorite modern bassists? Personally, other than you, I like Victor Wooten. I don't really know of any amazing modern bassists. Also, I always wondered who great bassists such as yourself look up to and what newer musicians they enjoy listening to. I would really appreciate a response.
