hi michael or anyone else that may know...
about four or five years ago i saw michael collaborate with a guitarist (i believe he was the band leader and played nylon string), a former flecktone sax player, and an unreal tambourine player... i had know idea that the tambourine could be played at that level! the particular show i saw was at a vfw/knights of columbus type hall on a snowy night in cooperstown, ny.
it was the only time i have seen michael play in a band setting live, and it was fantastic to see a player with such a unique vision, recognizable voice, and reputation for pushing the limits of his instrument to blend into a band setting w/out changing everything he does... maybe a few less notes. i feel that most players would have to sacrifice originality/voice for the greater good of the band. this was definitely not the case.
ultimately, it was an inspiring night of music w/ world class musicians staged at an unsuspecting venue. my question is, who were the other the other three musicians? |
