Very nice!

What did you do to get that sound, is that a piezo pickup?

And what effects? It almost sounds like there is a pad in the background supporting you.

Hey Zander,

This is amazing. The phrasing, technique, tone, dynamics.... Absolutely superb. I'm blown away by everything you play. I hope someday we can cross paths and perhaps play a show together. It would be an honor.

best wishes!!

Aram

Thanks a lot, guys!

Smeet, to help get that sound, I'm using D'Addario piccolo strings on a Zon VB4 bass, tuned Bb Eb C F. I'm also using a very warm reverb option.

Aram, it would be wonderful to play a show together! Let's do it! Currently, I'm starting to work on an album; hopefully afterwards, I'll start trying to put myself out there in the gig scene...

Cheers,

Zander

As usual you play beautifully, well toned. None of the flashy, look at my chops, style of playing. Seriously when will you get an album out. You inspire me and besides you are the only bass music that my wife will listen to. She thinks you rock, so if you could blur out your face it would help an ugly old man like me out. LOL Your tone gets me gassing for a Vinny every time I hear it, thanks.

Hi, kcolyar. Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately, my album, if done properly, is going to take quite a long time. I need to figure out how to use Logic, as well as work on all the pieces!

Good to hear that your wife is getting into solo bass as well...

Take care,

Zander

Come on Zander, when is the album going to be done? I really need to listen to some sweet tones. I get tired of waiting for your vids to load up. I am not a computer savvy guy. Need a CD.

Absolutely awesome, brother. I look forward to your album. My wife actually looked up from her book and asked, "What is that? It's beautiful."

so, Zanderzon, here's the deal.

I gig around with a couple of groups. They have no idea what can actually be done with a bass guitar. What I have in mind is a poor man's imitation of what you're doing. But until you release your CD, all I can say is ... yeah there is some guy on the internet who hears it the same way I do.

So let's have that CD!

*three thumbs up*

Barely knew what I wanted to say or talk about. It was exciting for me knowing what notes had to come out, and seeing what you were going to do next. Such a surprise!

Thank you so much, guys!

Kcolyar, xbmedic and chuck3, I really appreciate your interest in my album - it should hopefully be ready by the end of next month! I will let people know as soon as it is available on CD Baby, iTunes and Amazon. I've worked really hard on it and am really looking forward to getting some feedback.

PiNgtime, thanks for the extra thumbs up!

derrenleepoole, glad you liked my 'Stairway to Heaven' cover!

Cheers guys,

Zander
