Special Tuning Set-Up Question

Sign in to disble this ad
I am currently buying a Spector Legend 5 and I wanted to set it up for a particularly low tuning. Just wanted to see if you guys could give me good specifics on what string gauges I should get prior to getting it set up for them.

The tuning would be F#BF#BE

I've been told anywhere from a .165-.182 for the lowest string, but just want to make sure.

Thanks guys!

String maker Circle K has a great string tension/gauge chart that you can use to build a custom set: http://circlekstrings.com/CKSIMAGES/...nsionChart.pdf. Looks like you're on the right track.
