Abelton or Audacity?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guy's, I just picked up a Line6 toneport and the question is.... Witch is a better program to learn and to use? I've been messing around with the supplied recording program Abelton, but before I get too deep I wanted some opinions. Does Audacity have the ability to sample drum tracks to use? The version of Abelton seems to only have 5 tracks witch could limit things once I get rolling. I'm new to this computer recording thing so I wanted some input. Thanks in advance. Ken

If you're going to be doing this for a while, invest in a DAW that is fully capable of anything you can throw at it.

Ableton Live 7
Logic (If you've got a mac)
Pro Tools

Etc.
