Adobe Audition or Soundcard Problem... won't pick up signal..

My line-in volume is all the way up, I have it set to pickup from my soundcard (Nividia)...

When I play I get sound through my speakers so my card isn't fried as far as I know.

Is there someway that I can reset my soundcard or something? I can't understand why all of a sudden I can't get any signal to be recorded.

EDIT:

For those of you familiar with AIM and its' Talk session ability, I get no sound through that either.

So that means it's definitely the soundcard, or something with the sound settings on my comp, no? Thanks for any input ,this is pissing me off to another degree.

Do you have another program that you sometimes use? I have Audition, but I have the free Audacity as well. I found that the input selections in AUDACITY will affect the behaviour of Audition.
In Multitrack mode, you can also go to Options>Device Order to check that the soundcard is selected and is first in line.
