Anyone use Native Instruments Software?

I just ordered Komplete 5 which is a bundle of 11 different programs.

http://www.native-instruments.com/in...p?id=komplete5

I did a lot of reading about the software and I'm still not sure if I should also get some recording software or if this is all I need to write tracks/songs.

Yes you do need a recording software, Komplete is a big bundle of VST's and Samplers.
It's really good, but to record audio stuff and midi you'll need a recording software, i would suggest to get something that supports VST's and DXi instrument so you'll be able to use Komplete with it.
Also a descent audio card if you haven't got one, preferably with ASIO drivers support and low latency.

Thanks a bunch, I knew It was samplers but I wasn't sure if FM8 had the tools for recording. So now I begin the search for recording software.

I already have Cubase LE but no manual. It came with a small USB board I bought a while back. I'll have to find out if it's compatible.

Cubase LE is compatible with VSTi, DXi instruments, the only thing about LE is that it limits you to 8 or less VSTi's, but it's good for the start.
FM8 is a piano synth with tons of features and sounds, i use it and FM7 alot.
Good Luck with the recordings

You can always pair it to Reaper, either rearouted or rewired, to cheaply and efficiently augment your plugins and tracking capability.

http://reaper.fm/download.php

50 buck for non-commercial use, unlimited demo, unlimited track count, unlimited insert (VST, VSTI, DX, DXI, JS) and a vast array of FX included.

I really like reaper. I use it a lot these days! Great software that's easy to learn.

I WOULD do if my computer's crappy inbuilt Realtek soundcard thing didn't have a 1.5 second delay on it...
