Want a simply audio interface so i can plug into my mac laptop and record some stuff, happy to use GarageBand for the moment, or whatever works best. just some basic stuff.

there is a second hand Bass Pod XT going on a local forum (im from australia) and i'm pretty sure it'll interface with my mac and record my bass, but the owner isn't sure cause he didn't use it for that fuction.

its going for about $150 less local currency of a M-Box 2 Micro, is it worth getting the more expensive M-Box, or a new Fast Track USB?

I was thinking the modeling software would be fun too have.....which is why it took my fancy......

is the Bass Pod XT going to work for what i want or would you recommend?

Nope, the bass pod is not an audio interface, it will not turn audio to a digital signal and interface with a computer, any more than an effects pedal would. it's just an amp modeler. you can plug a pod into a computer but that is only to download/save patches and gain additional controls, you can't record through it!

What about a Line 6 Pod X3 Live?

" USB 2.0 Multi-Channel digital computer recording (Stereo Wet/Dry Per Input)", it has a similar 'thing' written on the PodXT
