Austin Mixing Engineer Recommendation Needed

Sign in to disble this ad
Looking for a profession mix engineer in Austin that does rock, pop and metal to mix 3 tracks for a commercial Ep release. So far I've only found guys that do good demo mixes. Can anyone recommend anyone in Austin?

You'll probably have a lot more luck looking on a recording forum. The TapeOp message boards are pretty good - I would try looking there first.

Thanks! I forgot about that one. Still, if anyone has recommendations...

Not too sure about individual engineers, but I've known a number of bands who have recorded at The Wire on south Lamar. http://www.wirerecording.com/

Not sure if that helps though.

Remember,

with internet, FTP´s, file sharing and such, you don´t need to tie it down to your geographical location. Your songs could be mixed anywhere if feasible mix-engineers cannot be found near...

If you want to be present at the location, though, you´re better off finding one in you neighborhood.
