A/B Boxes and what to use

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to be able to have more than one Bass connected to my rig at the same time in an A/B or A/B/C setup, along the same lines I want to be able to route them between two Amps - and for one Amp I want to be able to toggle between two Cabs.

So - I can pick up either Bass and switch it on - switch which Amp I want to route the signal through - and then on one Amp - be able to select one or both Cabs.

Running a GK Head, SWR Goliath II and an Ampeg 15 with a horn.

Someone has to be doing this or something similar. What are the tools of choice for having this kind of flexibility?

Thanks in advance for your replies!!

Radial Bigshot I/O - passive way to balance volumes between everything you've mentioned with true bypass to boot!

OK So I checked this out and it address two bass inputs, and they have another device that lets you A/B the Amps - now I am wondering if either choice here can be used to a/b the cabs so I can place it between the line outs to each cab and swith between them - with the ability to balance the volume?? If this works I am looking at three sets of switches?

Alright so Radial has a switch for every need - but to get all of the their offerings it will cost more money that I am interested in spending - any other options.

Actually, if you use the I/O, you can turn the 'Tuner' switch off and you'll have your A/B output in the same pedal when you press the 'Mute' footswitch on the left. You then equalize your amps by using their volume knobs.

Check out the manual:
