Just curious why you feel you need to *get* anything... doesn't the studio have stuff you could use (unless you're going for a specific sound they aren't capable of for whatever reason)?

Hi, Uziel

Just a dumb newbie question from a newbie here in TB, couldn't You just ask or e-mail the engineer that runs the studio about what's available?

I'd take along anything that I'm familiar with, and gives me "my" sound.

Regards
Sam

Just call up and find whats there.

Depending on what sound your wanting, you could always use one of thier mic pre's for the bass?

+1 on the RDDI
or maybe a sadowsky DI
the avalon would work really nice too
maybe you'll need a compressor but, you can better add it when mixing the cd...
Avoid miking the cabs, it could be a pain in the ass...
