I need a preamp for home recording. I want it to work with both guitar and bass. What´s best in your opinion?
Sansamp GT-2, Behringer bass v-amp, Pod or anything else? |

However, for both gtr and bass I'm finding I need more EQ and am looking for a parametric.
I'd probably get one of the rack mount sans amp units in retrospect. Quote: |

There are many versatile Pre's out on the market. I'm not sure of your budget but, you can purchase a good pre that will work for everything you record, meaning not limited to bass/guitar.
I own and use the following.
Millennia STT-1 ORIGIN
Sebatron VMP 4000/2000
JLM TMP8
Neve 9098's
Great River
Grace 101
FMR RNP
Focusrite Red
There are many more!

Im specifically looking for a pre that can emulate great guitaramps like VOX and Fender Blackface and also SVT B15 for bass. |

I guess guitars are more dependent of speakers.
Basses can sound great DI:ed. |
