im looking to trigger drums through abelton live and pro tools with my midi gear. i have some drum sounds in reason and live but im thinking one of these programs might be better for this. i want to be able to trigger the sounds while recording or in a live setting

i might just get ni komplete 6 since it includes battery but the other programs look very interesting as well.

any ideas? anyone have experience with these programs?

I've had good luck with battery. It takes a little while to learn the program inside and out but once you do it is definitely worth it.

Yeah ,mapping it to midi is really simple. I only used it with a midi keyboard not a trigger pad but i would assume it would be similar. I got it with Komplete 5 ( now considering upgrading to 6 but not sure if it will be worth it when really all I want is the new absynth). The other programs in Komplete are amazing though.

Battery would definitely get the call, IMO. Pretty much the ultimate software sampler, and really easy to configure to whatever midi control you happen to use.
