Can I do this ...

Hey all ... question for you.

I want to practice with the drum loops on Garageband, which I can do simple enough by running my mac laptop into my smaller amp and playing my bass through the amp also ... but if I want to record my bass into Garageband can I do this;

Use that item above to plug my bass into, and then run the output from the box above into my laptop? Would I use the 1/4 inch output with an 1/8 inch adapter or the XLR with an 1/8 inch end plug? Would I then run this into my line-in (microphone) on the laptop?

Thanks,

Aaron

Aaron-

A cheap option that can accomplish what you describe is something more like this:
