Can someone walk me through these microphone specs in plain english? (Shure SM81)

Sign in to disble this ad
So i gotta do a presentation on this mic for college and these specs are meaning no sense to me!

(taken from Shure's website)

I dont expect someone to do the work for me, but perhaps translate some of the jargon such as

Freq Response
Impedance
'Phantom Power'
etc?

I want to be able to explain things like Sensitivity, and 'Signal to noise ratio' and SPL in a way that regular people will understand, and explain how this effects it's sound.

Any help from any mic buffs?

Thanks in advance.
Daniel

Those are real basic terms just go to Wikipedia, it is great starting point for researching things.
