cant hear myself with my lightsnake HELP

what (free) program can i use to hear myself, such as an amp simulator, or a setting that i can just listen to the sound off my speakers? i can reccord on ACID but i cant hear myself playing at the same time

Open your volume control panel, and click Options -> Properties. depending on what your using, you should see your input, click that. Then it will show up in your volume controls, at which point you unmute it and voila.
