Cheapest recording software for Mac that is at least as good as Garageband but...

that is able to send a MIDI signal so I could sync with other gear (drum machine, synth)?

Suggestions would be appreciated... with price tag info.

Thanks for the advice! I just downloaded it. I'll try it out. Very convenient to have a 30 day trial before having to pay the license.

midiO

I use this to send midi tracks to Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase. Syncs up, transfers flawlessly.

And it's FREE.

I'll try that too, thanks. I've just downloaded it.

Good thing I get christmas vacations, I'll have time to try all this out...

I haven't took the time to try Reaper yet but Midi0 works very well! It kinda makes you wonder why it doesn't come with GarageBand out of the box!
