CPU soundcard help

Sign in to disble this ad
when I plug my bass directly into my line in or mic jack I get very little volume and only sound from the left side. It worked on my old cpu. Is there anything I need to be aware of with certain soundcards? do I need to buy something to put somewhere in the chain? what gives? thanks

Some things you should try are:

Update the driver for your card (found at manufacturers website)

Make sure the plug is in the card all the way, it may not be getting "full contact" (try jiggling the cable around to see if it helps).

If I think of anything else, I'll post it.
