Doubled Keyboard Track?

Sign in to disble this ad
So, today I bought a Lexicon Omega, and I dig it. I was reading the manual, when it came to the part about recording keyboards. It said I needed 2 midi cables. I just had one. I thought, oh, I will just switch it back and forth.

I record it, and I go back for a listen, I have to switch the cord, so that the output is in the input, and vice versa. I played it back, and the entire track has doubled. Like, you will hear a note I play, and a split second later you hear the same note repeated. Could this be because I only used one midi cord?
