Driving me nuts

I use Battery 3 to map out most of my drums in the recordings.

I've been trying to use its random cell activation feature (in setup) to hit random samples with one key.
The problem is that every time I try to randomize cells in a certain voice group (like bass drums), it works fine.... but when I go to randomize the second group (in this case, snare drums) the randomization sometimes hits notes from the first group.
the 2 number boxes in the random cell activation area seem to change the numbers for ALL the voice groups. Although I've made a kit before that works, for some reason this time its not working right.
all the key ranges are set correctly and no other cells seem to be conflicting with it.

idk if this is a bug but if any of you guys here have worked with this program please help!
