E-Drums cutting out (MIDI)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey,

I think i may have asked this before, but anyways here goes.

Been using a Roland TD-3 e-drum kit for some recording, we use the MIDI out of the e-drum into the MIDI in on a presonus firepod, and are using Cubase.

Now this only happens sometimes, but the drums will just seem to stop recording, ie no more hits are recorded. The only way we can figure to cure it is by restarting cubase, which is a hassle.

Anyone know what the problem could be? Should be be running a second MIDI cable from the firepod MIDI output to the Edrums MIDI input? Is there any sort of time stamp thing we should be using?

Cheers

-Will
