Editing EZdrummer in Garageband..

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

Please tell me how to get the track editor window of EZ drummer to "move" along with the track as it's playing, and also how to make it zoom in or out like you normally do to a timeline.

It seems so ridiculous. In case u don't know what I'm talking about, it's the window where you see all the dots (squares really) that represent each drum hit, and you can copy and paste them..

Anyone knows I'd appreciate it!!!

To try what you're asking, I opened GB '09, created a new software track and dragged a drum groove to it. I stretched out the groove so it'd play for a bit.

I opened the window with the "little squares" by clicking on the track editor button (scissors button near the lower left of the main window). I hit play and everything scrolled.

So I started clicking everything in sight and sure enough, the window stopped scrolling. And I don't know what I did to stop it.

But I found it. If you go to the main window (the one on top) and look at the lower scroll bar (the one that goes side to side). On the far right side are two downward pointing triangles. Click that and it should scroll. The two triangles should be directly over one another. If they are offset, neither window will scroll.

I saw those two triangle things, but didn't see it acting like a switch to turn on or off scrolling. But I need to try taking a look at that again.. you're probably right. Thanks
