i think i'm about to order the 1820M version, which costs $100 more.

for all the features it seems foolish to pass up.

got everything installed!

no problems at all, FIRST TIME FOR THAT! i've always had issues installing sound cards.

this was effortless.

the mic pres sound great. my Sadowsky Vintage 5 recorded extremely well.

my strat sounds great direct with the hardware accelerated effects.

still struggling with the mixer app...but that will come in time.

happy so far!

Cool, I think I might be next for 1820M. It's hard to resist... the G.A.S. is killing me....

I'm not upgrading my old Logic Audio setup just yet, but I'm always on the lookout just in case. This thing is on the top of my list now.

Thanks for the info. Feel free to post any objective criticisms as you discover them.

Blisshead,

yes...and no.

i spent a few days with tech support on an issue with the rear inputs.

no signal.

i'm returning it to try another unit.

i'll let ya know this afternoon.

i love the flexibilty and sound quality. i was able to get signal from the fron 2 mic pre's and windows audio, but the rear panel is not functional.

i ain't worried...i'm gonna get one that works I'M SURE OF IT!

nothing else on the market currently at this price that has me as GAGA!

i work for mitsubishi designing large screen teevees, so i know how "LOT 10" units can be.

i took a chance on a new design, got a little bit.

understand that i am not at all upset, unless the next few don't work either.

if the one i get as a replacement today works, its FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!

the hardware effects KILL!

Cool, it will be sort of telling if mine doesn't work. E MU stuff usually rocks though, so I bet we'll both be all set.

Bliss,

nice to see your level headed reaction to my post.

11 minutes until guitar center opens.

(runs out the door).

Actually I cancelled my order and filed thirteen lawsuits against emu, guitar center, talkbass.....

I'm waiting for mine to show up like a kid waiting for Santa Claus.
