That Fender VOX thingy whats it like?

Whoa its been a while since I been here so hello again.
Has anyone used that Fender VOX thing, the box that hooks up to the serial in your computer and you can plug a guitar into it. I was wondering if the sound is ok and bass would go ok with it the reason I'm asking is I can get one for about $90Aus. And it seems like it could be a handy tool.

The G-Vox thing? I don't think they make it anymore. When they did, it was more of a teaching tool than a recording or MIDI thing.
