FX use in a pro studio

gidday,

Soon my band will be recording a few tracks in a professional studio.

I use a few effects like flange chorus etc.

Does a engineer/producer normally prefer a dry bass track and put effects on using the studio FX equipment in post production or am I better off just getting my own sound using my own effects striaght off?
