Guitar rig software to speakers instead of headphones?
Hope the title is clear on what I want to do.
I play my bass through the usb soundcard into the "Guitar Rig" software
What I want to know is: The best way to run to speakers instead.
It's strictly for quiet home practice, and some tiny speakers or perhaps
even run it into my tiny Ashdown "Tourbus" practice amp.
Main things are a nice reproduction of the sound and nothing blowing up!
Any tips most appreciated.
I do this all the time. What you will need is a cable that is 1/8 inch on both ends, and a 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapter.
Plug one end of the 1/8 inch cable into the headphone out on your usb device. Put the adapter on the other end, Plug it into the effect loop return.
Plug your bass in as normal. Now you can play to the .mp3.
If you dont have an effects loop. You can use a line in, .mp3 in on your amp.
If your amp has two instrument inputs you can use one of those.
Thanks for the tip.
Guitar rig software into usb guitar link into the mp3 input on the little Ashdown works great.
It also means I can leave the whole thing setup in place and just use headphones
into the Ashdown amp for silent practice.
Perfect setup now for when people say "Play something".
Backing track as well!
