HELP WITH CUBASE!!!!!!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

It has been two years since I have won a Presonus Inspire 1394 recoding box at a music store grand opening. I have tried many times to record bt it just does not work. The unit came with no instructions but comes with Cubase LE which seems to be my problem.

I have tried to record I have tried every button on this thing i can think of, but I cannot figure out how to get it to record. It does not even show any soundwaves being recorded even though I have sound coming from my bass!!!

If anyone knows where I can get a free manual or free help for this could you please inform me!

Thanks for your help!

Andrew

Yes, go to Device Setup in cubase and make sure the presonus ASIO driver is selected (and not your built-in audio). Then add a mono audio track, and make sure the input on the track is also set to the presonus input.

If you are able to do that (ie, the options are available) and you still don't get sound, you may have to unmute the input or output in the presonus mixer software. This is assuming the presonus driver is installed correctly and all that (check device manager make sure its there with no errors).

Good luck

btw, there are pictures of this whole setup process at http://www.presonus.com/pdf/inspire1394manual10.pdf under the Cubase LE section.
