How fake does this sound on a scale of one to 10?
I'm working on a new VSTi sampler with samples from my bass. Anyway im in the early stages and I figured I would ask bassists about because well it makes sense. https://soundcloud.com/ryanantlitzmu...te-1-bass-demo
I personally think it sounds really fake still. I am aware that sampled bass is like a slap across the face to some people (I would never use my own VST in one of my songs lol) so sorry. But if it doesn't kill you that this even exists, I wouldn't mind advice either.
*PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT TRYING TO MAKE IT SEEM AS IF IT IS ME PLAYING I REALLY DON'T WANT ANYONE TO THINK THAT* (I just want it to sound real for the people who will be faking it if that makes sense)
Have you checked out the Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass? Might be the best on the market - so far.
I have NO problem using these in productions. The bass player shows up on time and in tune. :D
Scarbee also has P-Bass, J-Bass and MM sample libraries. Definitely worth taking a listen to where the technology is at.
Wow actually that helps a lot. I would have never thought to add all those features. Its a shame I am using SynthEdit and I can only make 32bit vsts but those videos gave me some good ideas.
