Question Inexpensive mixer program

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for an inexpensive mixer program for my PC -- something to just set down some musical arrangements, play with song ideas, etc. without having to have a full band and a home studio. To give you a little more background info, I currently record by setting up a practice amp in the same room with my computer and recording it thru the computer mic. It's primitive, yes, but it works surprisingly well and it costs me nothing extra. What I need is a way to record multiple tracks and to control volume, cross-fades, and so forth.

Any recommendations?
