Inexpensive portable flash drive recorders

I'm wanting to get a simple solid state recording unit to record my band's rehearsals. Edirol came out with one about 2 years ago, and now several companies make them. These devices have built-in stereo mics, and can record several hours of WAV or MP3 audio to a compact flash card. For example, there is a Zoom H4 that can be had for $300

I'm wondering if anyone has good (or bad) experiences with any of them.

I'm also very interested in an H4. The good folks at http://www.acousticguitarforum.com seem to have had a fantastic experience with these little guys. I'd advise you to check there for some of the recordings. The quality is unbelievable - not to mention the players there! Hope this helps you some.

+1 on the H4.
Got one to tape band gigs(we do almost ANYTHING called out and a LOT of great stuff was going undocumented), my teens use it to record their piano/etc., and to record their high school band stuff(regular and killer jazz band performances). As said earlier, quality from these little gems is unreal...or actually it IS real. For band gigs it gets set on a shirt(vibration damper!) on my side of the stage and picks up EVERYTHING nicely with one push of the REC button before a set and after to stop recording.
