| no, a soundcard doesn't "own" a specific USB jack. the "u" stands for "universal". You can plug it into any of the jacks and it will sounds the same--with one caveat of course. some computers have some USB2.0 jacks and some USB3.0. Some older ones will have USB1.0. The only difference between these is the data transfer speed, and it's backwardly compatible. In English, if your device says "supports USB 3" then you can plug it into any jack and it will work. if that jack is usb 1, it's probably not going to work well, maybe too slow. usb 2 would probably be fine. if your device says "supports usb 2" and you plug it into a usb 3 jack, it may not work.
different types of jacks are usually color coded and/or labeled. you'd have to check the computer manual if it's not clearly indicated.
