for you guys using computers and stuff. i found this EQ plug-in and i thought it was quite nice, so i thought i would share my find.

LinearPhaseGraphicEQ 2

site is in Japanese, but all you need to know is in English.

just some reading info as to why i think it's quite nifty.

1: it's free!

2: you can do some great things with it.

clicking on the dB boost/cut area you can change it from

12+/12-
12+/96- really great as a cut notcher for trouble spots, while keeping EQ.
24+/24-

you can control bandwidth by the bandwidth knob for a freq by freq control using left click or if you drag with left click you can draw your freq graph.

all the way up to nice long slopes using "right click" on the mouse. right clicking and having bandwidth set low gives you that "scooping" type effect. just overly very versatile and for free!. almost like having a nice rack multi-band parametric EQ.
