Kontakt 4 question

I've been contemplating buying kontakt 4 and am wondering whether you have to put all 43 gigs of samples onto your computer, or can you just select the samples that you want to install

The install wants to install everything, but contact NI, they may have ways around this.

Disk space is cheap these days.
It would be best to load all of them, try them, then delete what you don't want.
Kontakt can rescan and rebuild the DB.
The whole lib is high quality, It will be tough to chose what you don't want.

Some third party libs work fine with Kontakt player. If there's some other lib you want it may need full kontakt. If you try out a lib in Kontakt player and it comes up "Demo" then you need the full version for that lib.

It's weird to say this in a bass player forum, but there's a great "No Brainer" deal at audiomidi.com for Dan Dean bass collection for $20

This needs the full version of Kontakt.

THere are main folders like orchestral, band, synth..etc... Just go ahead and delete sub folders and rebuild the database.

I have over 1TB devoted to just Kontakt. And its not everything I have..
