I'm looking to invest in a pair of headphones. I've spent most of the afternoon checking out reviews on here and other sites.

My list so far includes the following -

Sony MDR-7506
Sony MDR V6
Beyerdynamic DT770
Sennheiser HD25

I'm really liking the Sony HD7605's, but these new KRK's look really, really good.

I can't find any reviews on here though.

I want them for recording, private practice and general music listening.

Sennheiser HD280s /thread.

$100 buck, more accurate than the KRK (which I have heard are junk).

The Beyerdynamics are nice too.

I recently bought the Beyerdynamic 880's. Very nice, especially the bass response. The low end doesn't feel 'hyped up' like so many consumer level phones and it also doesn't gradually disappear as you play lower. It feels fairly natural to play bass with them on, something I've not experienced in a lot of cans.

More $ than the 770s but they are very comfortable and I'm glad I bought them. They are semi-open backed so there's a little leakage (surprisingly little) so for that reason they might not be ideal for tracking. Very good for mix referencing, editing and such.
