I've got 1 of the rack bags, oddly enough, actually quite comfortable to carry around however due to some things going on in my life and the need to stay away from carrying heavy things I've got the studio 2 go ordered, I love the idea of that bomb shelter for your laptop on top of the rack.

A quick word about the rack bag, as nice as it is, the opening and rear front pieces are a bit of a pain, if they don't hang down directly, they tend to get in your way.

Wow, nice. I think I might get this one: Gator GRC-Studio-2-Go ATA Laptop or Mixer Over Rack Case. That looks just about perfect for my laptop and saffire pro. I didn't even realize they made cases like that.

that case is built great, i'm thinking of one myself.. a buddy of mine has one, but it won't fit his 17" macbook pro with cables attached...he is planning on modifying it slightly by cutting away some of the padding on the side where the ports on the computer are....

i got an rei gift card for x-mas. i found on their website a messenger bag that will hold a 17" laptop. Go check out Mountain Hardwear Sentinel Messenger Bag and tell me if you think it will be durable enough for a computer

Yea.. I don't think mine will work with cables on it either. I have one of the ADK laptops which is only 15.4" widescreen, but the firewire cable hooks in the front of the laptop (my only complaint with this laptop). I think I'll have to unhook at least that, but I guess I won't really know until I get one. It looks awesome though.

although i want one of these, i will most likely still carry the laptop in its' own bag most of the time, and just set it in the tray for performance....
