latency problem roland ua 25ex / lion

Sign in to disble this ad
I own a Roland ua 25 ex and an Imac with lion.
It's the latest imac but the base model only 4 gig of ram.

I use garage for recording and sometimes to shape the sound of the bass when I practice.

I have some latency.
I's not a major problem but I don't think it should be there.

I only have garage band open, nothing else and i have the latest driver.

I looked everyqhere i don't know what I can do to reduce the latency.

Does the Roland unit comes with a monitoring software ?
I work with MOTU stuff and use Cuemix , no latency monitoring.
Is there the equivalent with that Roland unit?

Check in the "system preferences" if you have a Roland app in "other"

I don't use Garage band but check if you can lower the Buffer probably in Preferences

Bonne chance

Are you running any plugins or software processors when tracking?

I would also recommend lowering the buffer size.
