Line 6 Bass Pod Xt + Ableton Live = HELL!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all, I need some help.

I recently aquired a Line 6 Bass Pod Xt, and I thought it would be perfect for recording with. I have linked the USB line in and started to configure the I/0 for live.

Now, I can select the Bass PodXt input in live, and I can record from this (using the USB cable). However, I don't get ANY sound out of my computer unless I plug a line between the 'Phones' back on the Bass Pod, and the 'line in' of my soundcard. What is going on here?

How can I set up Ableton Live to take its audio from my Bass Pod Xt via the USB line, and still play out music in the normal way? Its all very confusing.

I think that's just how it is for all interfaces. They expect you to monitor through either headphones from the interface, or monitors from the interface- no monitoring through the computer's speakers. Sorry

You can set it up to monitor through computer speakers... get ASIO4ALL (http://www.asio4all.com/) and set it up so that the input is from your pod and the output is through your computer speakers.
