Im very new to recording equipment and im looking at picking up a cheap interface to use with my mac. The audiobox seems like a good fit but when reading the manual online, they stated that you can not use active instruments with the instrument inputs, or anythign with a line level. Does this mean that i can not use teh cab simulated DI on the studio amp with teh audiobox? If so what interface in the same price range would allow me to go Bass > Effects > lowdown> cab DI > interface > mac?
EDIT: This is what the manual said about active instruments and line level signals
NOTE: Active instruments are those that have an internal preamp or a line level
output. Active instruments should be plugged into a line input (3 or 4) rather
than into an instrument input. In other words, don’t plug an active instrument
into the combo jacks on channels 1 or 2.
