Line 6 Pod Farm VS. AmpliTube 2 Live

Need a decent plugin for guitar. Have about $100 to spend. I've come down to Line 6 Pod Farm VS. AmpliTube 2 Live.

Votes on either?

I'm recording metal/prog demos, and more electronic type music. I just want a few decent amp/cab and stompbox sims. Nothing too fancy.

Not sure if either offers an upgrade path.

As for bass, I go through a Sansamp DI. I won't be using any plugin for bass until I can afford Ampeg SVX. (Damn pricey, if you ask me.)

I'm using a windows-based DAW, Sonar Studio 8.

Tks.

Both are pretty good. Save your money for Ampeg SVX, or Peavey Revalver, or full versions of Guitar Rig, ...
If you're a kid, or got kids, you can get the educational discount on SVX for $160

In the meantime pick up some excellent free plugins
Voxengo boogex
Follow the links on Boogex for more cabinet impulses, and pick some up here:

And google:
free VST stompbox
Or similar. There's many
