Listening back to recording problem (firepod + cubase problem)

Sign in to disble this ad
This is really frustrating, and i really am at a loss here.

I want to set it up so that i can listen to the recordings on cubase after ive recorded them.

Here is the problem:

The presonus firepod 1-8 input tracks will only play back through the headphone socket on the firepod (there seems to be no routing to the PC speakers? )

And the MIDI in on the firepod that we are using will only be played back through the PC speakers!

So, bascially, i cant get to listen to both the "normal" tracks and the MIDI track at the same time after recording

Any ideas guys?

Once again i'm unfamiliar with the firpod dude but at a glance on the net there seems to be a "cue mix" line out and a "main CR out"

Again having only looked at the rear veiw on the net i would assume the that you would need to run your monitors from the firepod's "main CR outputs" which i "guess" is the Main Control Room Outputs"

Try that...

You have to set the inputs and outputs in cubase.
What version of cubase are you using?
Do you have your primary ASIO driver set to Presonus ASIO driver?
Hope this help...

It sounds as though you have your speakers plugged into your sound card on your computer. You need to plug your monitor speakers into the MAIN outputs in the back of the FirePod. You also have to make sure that the Presonus drivers are selected for the output device in Cubase. For more information goto www.presonus.com
