Hello people, I read the faq and finally started to record some bass tracks onto my computer (woohoo!) But right now I'm kinda in a tough spot. Next week I'm going to go get a midi keyboard, to do more chord based stuff behind my bass tracks and whatnot. But my question is: I want to be able to catalog all of the music I've written so I can show other audio samples of it (mp3 or something) and also, be able to have a noted version of it so I know what i played like sheet music or something (I try to write at least 1 songs a week, even if its only a melody). The hard part about this is that while most of the stuff I write is for small bands like 4-5 pieces. I intend to go into composition and orchestration. So I need a program that would give me the ability to record different kind of instrument sounds threw a keyboard and/or my bass, and the sheet music for it(not mandatory, but would be nice). Also, since its just me doing this, a program that lets me go back to the beginning, and lets me record each individual part (bass, horns, guitars, keys, etc) would be good.
If there's a program like that can someone turn me onto it, right now I use a PC but I'm told mac is the way to go.
