Locking instrument cables?

Sign in to disble this ad
I think I'm losing my mind...I could have SWORN I've seen locking cables before. Or did I see a locking input on a guitar? It was some time ago....and just recently came to mind. What did I see?

Yep, you probably saw those Neutrik locking jacks. The closest thing to a locking cable would be PlanetWaves cables -- they've got these compression rings on the connector that put pressure on the jack, so they stay in more securely. I've had cables almost FALL out of my bass, so these things are a life-saver. Apparently some people have had problems with them breaking off in the jack and then not being able to remove them from the jack without breaking open said jack.
