hoping this is in the right place?!

im looking into getting a camera to record my band, and also to record little video clips as we record or are writing new stuff to put up on our myspace and our our site and youtube channel.

anybody know a good place to start? as there are about 5 million of them on the market?.

not even got a budget atm but would ideally not like to spend a stupid amount on one.

Whatever you buy, make sure it performs well in lowlight situations. Mine has great sound but dogs in lowlight.

I've heard these are good.
Bass always sounds crap on anything I've used before.

yeh was looking at probs getting one with a mic input, as the quality of the built in mics is norm pretty poor.

I have on of these which has been amazing for me, and its awesome in low light (its actually better in low light than with lots of light)
http://www.amazon.com/Canon-HF100-De...0669371&sr=8-1. I use it to do all the shooting for my online recording videos

They now have a new model called the HF200 which is actually better and now cheaper
