Looking for a Sequencer

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I am looking to sequence drum patterns for a looping project I have.

I already have ''Easy Drummer'' and it has all the drum sounds I would ever need.

What I need is an easy to use an most importantly very light to run sequencer as I am planning to run it on a small netbook.

Cubase, Ableton and the like are way too heavy to run for my system and I don't need the recording capablilities and all the bells and whistle they have.

What I am looking to do is to program drum patterns to be able to save them. That's all

Of course, the cheaper the better!

I am running windows 7

cubase is selling a program (haven't tried it) that can do stand alone.. think they only want $10 for it.

If you find a light weight VSTi host, Audio Damage has a drum machine VSTi called Tattoo that has a dead simple to use pattern sequencer user interface. Yet for as clean as the UI is, the sequencer is also quite powerful. And it can send out MIDI to chain into whatever other VST/external synth you want to use for the actual drum sounds. It only costs $80, as well.
