Looking for a Tascam Trainer-like device...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I'm looking for a device to practice with that's similar to a Tascam Bass Trainer, but it can be used with MP3's, Ipod songs, basically, any digital audio source. I'd like for it to be able to slow down the tracks just like on the Bass Trainer. Anyone know of such a product?

Thanks

Burn your MP3s to CD and use the Tascam.

You can do the speed control on your PC, then it's just a question of how you hear your bass.

Well if getting an adapter and plugging your bass into the mic-in on your soundcard is a little too lo-fi for you Cptnhook, check out the Line 6 Toneport, which is an quick, easy way of getting a 1/4" input to your computer. Comes with some goodies, too.

DVD player

I bought a $50 DVD player from Best Buy that plays CD-RW, MP3, Pictures CDs and others. You can pitch shift and it has a loop feature. I can change the pitch of a song (speed changes with pitch) and loop difficult sections.
