Hey I'm looking to fix my computer up with one of these and i was wondering what you guys/gals think of them.

So if you would give me your personal setup(pc status) and audio thoughts.

I got one, I like it alright. I find the mic amps to be the weak link with cheaper stuff, I chose this thing because it doesn't have any. With a good chain ahead of it you can do first rate work with them.

what pre amp/eq's channel strips are you using?

Right now I'm limping along with an ART Pro MPA. It's less than stellar.

I've used the Sytek 4 channel pre in the past and like it a real lot for the money(they'll sell them direct for about 900 bucks), I'll be getting one before my next recording project.

Borrowed an API lunchbox loaded up with the 512 modules last time I needed to track a band. Those of course sound great. Out of my budget for the time being however.

I have a Delta 1010LT. Sometimes I use the 2 built-in preamps, other times I use an M-Audio DMP-3 or the pres on my Soundcraft Compact 10 board. The 1010 isn't state of the art but it sounds good and is solid for me using the latest drivers in XP.
