anyone else having problems with M-Audio Software Drivers?
When I upgrade, it will not be M-Audio.

| | | | Nope...and I've installed them on both "sides" of my Macbook...the Windows XP and OSX side. Both sides work much the same, and both have upgraded fine.
What "flavor" are you having issues with? |

LM | Go to their site, download latest driver. Nothing worked with the shipped drivers on my Intel Mac. All needed updated drivers for Intel off their site...but once installed, all was cool.
One was a little flaky...I think I had to install it twice. Other than that, pretty straight ahead.
I have the USB Pre, a Jam Man, and a Promix IO |

I've had GREAT results wth my BX-5 monitors and 2496 Audiophile soundcard, but wound up getting rid of my Radium 61 MIDI/USB keyboard for reliability issues.

I bought an EMU card from a TB'er who couldn't make it work, even given much effort and a decent technical background. Totally plug 'n play on my system though...go figure! |

Well, at least my M-Audio Mobilepre works fine. I think I'll send the 2496 PCI card back and get it replaced, and get a new PC. |

I've had an Oxygen 8 keyboard for a while, and could not for the life of me get it to work in OS 9 with Live Delta, even though that was what it was made to run in. Same keyboard in OS X, no probelm.

I searched the M-Audio knowledge base and what do you know, there are different instructions for installing 2496 on XP Pro. Which leads me to the dialog box that pops up while installing the card, saying something about the 2496 pci card IS NOT 100% compatible with XP pro (according to microsoft). But M-Audio's knowledge base says you don't have to worry about the warning at installation!
I think this isn't good enough M-Audio. And I think M-Audio should get their products tested by Microsoft, or don't support the platform. |

wrong... M-Audio didn't BUY the cert from Microsoft. Microsoft doesn't beta and test drivers for 3rd party manufacturers. They just collect fees
my Delta 44 is installed on XP pro. |

M-Audio doesn't get it's software tested for the platform. Even if there's a fee. And even if it's tested by a third party.
M-Audio is rubbish - IMHO
