so i recently made a small investment in recording equipment.

UPS dropped it off today. I got pretty excited as i started unpacking everything and getting ready to install Pro Tools.

Only to find out now that it isn't compatible w/ vista

someone here please tell me there is a way i can make this work? If not...what would be my best option? Should i just pack this thing back up and return it? Any other recommendation?

Thanks

If you're using 32-bit Vista and you don't have Service Pack 1 installed, you should be alright. Just patch Pro Tools LE up to v7.4 and it should run just fine.

ProTools is one of the pickiest programs about what it will run on. Real simple if you want to run PT you have to run what they say they are compatible with. Below is the link to their webpage for Vista.

I went through the same thing as you.........except I looked at the system requirements before buying. There is no way around it unless you are running 32 bit and dont update to service pack 1 until Protools is compatible with SP1. Oh I forgot you must have Ultimate or Business Vista.
